In response to Best FG kicker in UCLA history? (houston_bruin)

John Lee was clutch in many, many games. I cannot recall any key field goal that he missed. He won the 1985 Fiesta Bowl vs. Miami with a late fourth quarter field goal from distance that enabled the Bruins to beat the Bernie Kosar led Miami Hurricanse 39-37. |

Forbath is the best, in my opinion. Such a strong leg, and very accurate. The ball makes a different sound coming off of his foot. I discount the kickers who kicked with a tee a bit because it made it considerably easier. |

is that UCLA has had a lot of very good placekickers over the years. I wouldn't trade our placekickers over the last 35 years with any other program in the PAC-10 , 12. |

Great player from the mid 1950s teams. Was an all around player, kicker (field goals/punter) and a fullback. Was on the same team as Don Long and All American end Dick Wallace?? |
