* Lettered as defensive tackle in 2008,09.
* Was a true freshman starter.
* Had 23.5 tackles for loss  in 2009 to rank first in the Pac-10 (by 8.5 TFL) and third in the NCAA. This currently ranks 2nd in the schools single-season list.
* Was a 2nd round selection (35th pick) in the 2010 [[NFL Draft Selections| NFL Draft]] (Tampa Bay Buccaneers).

* Earned  [[All-American]] honors in 2009. Also earned [[All-Conference Selections|All-Pac 10 honors]] in 2008 & 2009.
* Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Year in 2009.
