1965 Season
- Earned AAWU championship and trip to Rose Bowl, where the Bruins defeated then No. 1-ranked Michigan State at the Rose Bowl game. Bob Stiles (DB) was name MVP of the game.
- Coach Prothro was voted Coach of the Year.
- Ranked #4 AP, #5 UPI
