- Lettered as quarterback in 1979,80,81,82.
- Was the top ranked UCLA QB in passing yards (6,168), completions (441), touchdown passes (50), and total offense until Cade McNown displaced him. (Currently ranked 3rd in TD passes and completions; and 4th in passing yards and total offense.)
