GENE "SKIP" ROWLAND

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

  • Lettered as halfback in 1945,46,47,48. Was also punt returner.
  • Led team in rushing with 540 yards and averaged 6.3 yds/carry in 1946.
  • Was part of UCLA's second Rose Bowl team of 1946.
  • Was also an All-Conference baseball player.
  • Went on to coach high school football at Long Beach Woodrow Wilson, his alma mater.
