- Starting linebacker for UCLA in 1976,77,78. Also lettered as receiver in 75.
- Finished career as team leader for career tackles (468). Surpassed by Eric Kendricks in 2014.
- In top five ranks for UCLA single season tackles.
- First round NFL Draft choice of Philadelphia Eagles (1979).
- Two-time Pro Bowl selection
- Played in 1981 Super Bowl. Had 13-year NFL career (Eagles and Raiders)

- Three-time All-Conference and consensus All-American 1976,77 and 78.
- Two-time Team Defensive MVP in 1977 & 1978.
